When engaged in water-based activities and you want to use an Extension Pole or Telescopic Pole with your Action Camera, it may be a good idea to make sure your pole floats if dropped in the water.

If the pole doesn't float, even if the camera itself has a floaty pad on it, the combined weight of the pole and the camera will most likely be too much for the Float pad to keep above water. Your camera will most likely drop to the bottom, never to be seen again.

This happens very easily, so don't risk losing your camera this way.

Using a floating pole can help prevent this from happening.

Alternatively, a Shorter Hand Grip allows you to easily hold your camera while swimming, snorkelling, surfing, and other water-based activities, but still protects your camera from sinking if dropped.
