Magnetic Mounts for Action Cameras

We sell two types of Magnetic Mounts for action cameras, including GoPro, DJI, and Insta360.

The first type is mounts that allow you to secure your camera to a wide variety of metal surfaces. They allow for a wider range of mounting options than just non-magnetic options.

What's the best magnetic mount for an action camera? Magnetic Mounts (and Magnetic Ball Head Mounts, which add a swivel joint) attach to metal surfaces such as signage, poles, posts, metal fences, fridges, window frames, cars, and other moving vehicles. These typically use the standard GoPro-style finger-mount interface, so most are universal across GoPro, DJI, and Insta360 (check each listing's compatibility table to confirm). The best magnetic mount will have strong magnets and provide a secure hold for unique perspectives.

⚠️ Safety Warning: We strongly recommend using a Safety Tether when mounting your camera to the exterior of a moving vehicle. In the event of an accidental detachment, a tether can prevent your camera from being damaged or lost.

The second type is Quick Release Magnetic Latch Mounts, which are the latest development in Action Camera mounting systems.

First released by DJI for the Action2 cameras, updated for Action3, 4, and 5, with another new version for DJI Action 6.

Insta360 released its own proprietary system as standard for the ACE/ACE Pro series cameras and now for some of the X series cameras.

GoPro released their own Magnetic Latch Mount as an optional mounting system for GoPro HERO 13, Lit HERO and MAX 2. The system carries forward compatibility for the Mission 1, Mission 1 Pro, and Mission 1 Pro ILS.

Magnetic Latch Mounts mostly sport GoPro-style fingers on the bottom for mounting with Finger-compatible mounts and accessories.

Magnetic Latch Mounts are not interchangeable between brands, so please check the product details carefully.
