While action cameras capture great video, wind noise can often ruin your audio. External Microphones are the best way to achieve professional sound quality, especially for vlogging or high-speed activities, where using a "Dead Cat" wind muff can help filter out the wind noise that can destroy the sound in videos.

Connecting Your Microphone:

• GoPro Pro 3.5mm Mic Adapter: Compatible with GoPro HERO5 through to HERO12. This adapter plugs into the USB-C port and allows you to use standard 3.5mm microphones.
• GoPro Media Mods: We stock the dedicated Media Mods for HERO8 and the larger version for HERO9 through to HERO13 Black. These provide 3.5mm inputs and cold shoe mounts for a compact rig.
• Insta360 Mic Adapter: Specifically for the Ace, Ace Pro, and Ace Pro 2 series, allowing for seamless external audio integration.

Microphones We Stock:

• 3.5mm Microphones: We sell a range of 3.5mm microphones, including the Saramonic SR-XM1, which are perfect for use with the adapters and Media Mods listed above.
• Direct Type-C Microphones (Ulanzi AM23): Offers a lightweight, adapter-free setup, but compatibility is limited to:
  • DJI: Action 2, Action 3, Action 4, and Action 5 Pro.
  • Insta360: Ace Pro 2.
