The Telesin Floating Hand Grip can save your GoPro camera from being lost if you accidentally drop it when you're over deep water. Without using floatation, your camera would sink to the bottom of the Lake, River, Ocean...never to be seen again. Of course, you could use a floaty backdoor with a standard handle grip BUT the Floating Hand Grip does both.
