ULANZI TH04 Spring Loaded Overhead Camera Mount | Desk Mounting Stand

The ULANZI TH04 Overhead Camera Mount (Model: TH04) is perfect for home studios, unboxing videos, product photos, workplace photography, food vlogs and any other desk-based photo or video projects.

A heavy-duty C-clamp clamps to the edge of a desk up to 65mm thick and swings a camera out over it. The spring-loaded two-section arm reaches up to 910mm and comes all the way back down to the desk surface itself, so one arm covers every height in between without being reconfigured. The mount can hold a DSLR or mirrorless camera with lenses up to a maximum of 2kg. The camera mount sports a 360° ball joint, and on top is a Uka Quick-Release plate with standard 1/4"-20 Male thread.

The springs carry the weight; the knobs hold the position. That is the difference between this and a plain friction arm. The springs balance the load so the arm moves where you push it and does not drop when you let go; the two large lock knobs then clamp the joints solid for a shot that has to stay put. Reposition between takes, lock it off for a top-down sequence.

That bottom end is worth saying plainly: the camera can come right down and touch the desk, at any post height or even lower than desk height if swivelled to clear the desk. With the post run fully down, the camera can reach to roughly 300mm off the floor — useful for something on the floor beside the desk, a low shelf, or a seated subject from below. Most overhead arms only give you reach upward and bottom out well clear of the surface, which rules out flat-lay and close copy work or macro photography. Folded for storage, the whole thing comes down to about 440mm.

What Goes On the End:

The arm finishes in a ball head carrying a Ulanzi Uka quick release plate with a 1/4"-20 male screw. Anything with a standard 1/4" tripod socket screws onto that plate — a camera, a small light, a phone holder, or a microphone with a 1/4" thread.

The plate is Ulanzi's Uka system, not Arca-Swiss. The two are designed to work alongside each other and some Uka parts carry an Arca-compatible face, but they are different standards and we have not tested an Arca plate in this one. If you are counting on using plates you already own, assume they will not fit.

An action camera has fingers, not a thread. A finger-to-1/4" Tripod Adapter bridges the two, and one is not included with this mount.
