ULANZI VL03 106cm Motorcycle Selfie Stick + Super Clamp Kit

The ULANZI VL03 Motorcycle Selfie Stick Kit (Model: VL03) mounts an action camera or a 360° camera out beside or behind your bike and holds it there at speed. The kit boasts premium build quality and includes a 106cm three-section Aluminium Alloy extension pole, two super clamps, and an Action Camera Finger Adapter.

The use of two clamps is what makes this product unique. One carries the pole, the other anchors it further along, so the pole is held at two points on the bike instead of cantilevered off one, holding your camera rigid and stable at highway speed. Used with a 360° camera, it gives the drone-like chase footage of your own ride, because the pole is removed in the camera's stitching software.

The Telescopic Pole can be used separately as a selfie stick, and the Super Clamp with 1/4" Male thread can be used on its own as a Handlebar Mount.

Will It Fit? Measure What You Are Clamping To:

Measure before you order. The jaws will physically close to 13mm and open to 46mm, but a clamp working at the very end of its travel grips worst, and 15mm to 40mm is the safe range it actually holds.

Three Ways to Use It:

The Two Clamps:

The four ARRI holes in the pole base take the clamp's sprung pin, so once the stud is tightened, the pole cannot rotate on the clamp. On a vibrating motorcycle, that matters more than it does anywhere else — a threaded joint alone will eventually work loose and turn.

The Pole:

Three sections of 25mm aluminium alloy, from 42.5cm collapsed to 106cm extended, locked by two ribbed collars. The collars clamp at any height, not at fixed stops, so the pole sets to exactly the length a shot needs. The pole alone weighs 271g, and the complete kit is 838g.

Hummingbird Quick Release:

The top of the pole carries Ulanzi's Hummingbird quick release. The plate screws onto the camera with a 1/4"-20 screw and can be further tightened using a 3.0mm Allen Key (not included). Slide the plate in and move the button to lock; Move the button to unlock; press the button to release.

In practice, that means the camera comes off the bike in one movement when you park, and goes back on in one movement when you ride — without having to unscrew the camera.

About the "Invisible" Selfie Stick:

The pole is not invisible. What happens is that a 360° camera removes it in software — the camera's stitch line runs down the length of the pole, and the finished footage is rendered without it, which is what produces the drone-style shot of your own ride with no drone.

Camera Brand & Model Compatibility:

There are two paths. A camera with a 1/4"-20 thread screws straight onto the Hummingbird plate. A camera with a GoPro-style Finger Mount goes on through the included Action Camera Adapter, which screws onto the plate in its place.

If your camera has a standard 1/4"-20 tripod socket, or a GoPro-style Finger Mount, it fits — whether or not it is named above.
