ULANZI VL04 ClipMate Extension Pole/Backpack Strap Mount

The ULANZI VL04 ClipMate Extension Pole (Model: VL04) solves a major pain point for Action Camera users: where to put the pole when you need your hand free?

The ClipMate extension pole has 7 sections and extends out to 114cm. When closed, it is only 22.5 cm and acts as a solid hand grip or can be instantly clipped into the Backpack Shoulder Strap Mount for hands-free shooting. Press the quick-release button, and it is back in your hand again.

It fits padded backpack shoulder straps from 1cm thick and up to 6cm wide. The hook-and-loop pad wraps around the strap and has an anti-slip silicone lining. Note: Thinner straps may not hold, and the mount could slip.

The backpack strap POV is excellent for hiking and trekking for hands-free trail shooting and situations where you don't want to hold the pole the whole time.

The 7 telescopic sections are held by friction. Pull to the height you want, and it stays there. That is what makes it fast and suitable for action cameras, 360° cameras, and compact cameras.

The top sports a 1/4"-20 male screw for mounting cameras with a 1/4" female thread, and a Tripod Adapter is included for cameras that utilise the GoPro-style finger mounting system. The base carries a 1/4"-20 female thread with 2 ARRI locating pin holes, so the pole can be mounted onto a 1/4" tripod or mount.

Screws straight onto the pole
The 1/4"-20 male screw on top takes anything with a standard tripod socket. Nothing else needed.

A note on 360° cameras. Clipped to your strap with the pole short, your shoulder and head block the shot. Extend the pole, or lift it off the clip and hold it out, and the view opens up.

Fits using the included Tripod Adapter
For cameras that utilise the GoPro-style finger mounting system. The Tripod Adapter is supplied in the box.

DJI Osmo Nano needs a TEL227 Magnetic Adapter (sold separately). It then mounts on the included Tripod Adapter like any other finger-mount camera.
