- Using this case requires removing the GoPro HERO8 Black's original waterproof battery door — this is necessary to allow the microphone adapter to connect to the camera's port. With the door removed and the case fitted, the camera is NOT waterproof. Do NOT use near water, rain, splashes, or submersion. Always remove the case, refit the original waterproof door, and disconnect all accessories before any water-based activity.
The ULANZI G8-9 Vlog Case for GoPro HERO8 Black | 52mm Filter Adapter & Cold Shoe is a lightweight ABS plastic vlogging cage for the GoPro HERO8 Black that transforms your action camera into a capable handheld vlogging rig without sacrificing access to the battery, buttons, ports, or controls. Mount a microphone or LED light on the cold shoe, thread snap-on filters onto the 52mm filter adapter, and use the included shoe extender to push accessories back far enough to keep them out of shot.
The direct GoPro mount on the base connects to any universal action camera mount — no thumbscrew adapter needed. The included microphone adapter holder keeps the GoPro 3.5mm Microphone Adaptor (sold separately) secured at the bottom of the case with cables tidy — making it a cost-effective alternative to the GoPro Media Mod for users who already own the Microphone Adaptor. Comes with a lens cover to protect the lens when not shooting.
